On Campus Involvement
This section highlights my active engagement in both university and campus organizations that align with my passion for fostering community, celebrating diversity, and empowering others. From the gravitating energy of campus events to the vibrant tapestry of leadership opportunities, my journey at the University of West Georgia has been one of connection and impact. Whether founding the UWG Pickleball Club, serving as a Blue Coat Presidential Ambassador, or representing the university at high-level events, I’ve worked to inspire connections, uplift others, and create lasting change across campus.
Blue Coats
As a Presidential Ambassador, I contribute to the Division of University Advancement by serving as a host at key events, building relationships with alumni, donors, and friends of the university.
In this role, I help represent UWG at advancement events and meetings, ensuring our guests feel welcomed and valued. I assist in hosting campus visits, support various special events, and carry out tasks that help showcase the university’s impact.
The program also provides an incredible opportunity for mentorship from University Advancement leadership, allowing me to grow my professional network, develop leadership skills, and gain deeper insights into the importance of stewardship and community.
Pickleball Club
Founding the UWG Pickleball Club has been a rewarding adventure! In just two months, we grew to over 75 members, creating a fun, welcoming space for students to connect through sports and fitness.
One of the exciting highlights has been partnering with the City of Carrollton, who are building new pickleball courts set to open in the spring. Through this collaboration, we’ve gained access to reserve the courts, providing our club with a dedicated space to grow and also offering more recreational opportunities to the local community.
It’s been incredible to see the club thrive, combining teamwork, fitness, and fun each week while building connections on and off campus.
Management Club
As Vice President of the Management Club, I help facilitate our meetings, bring in inspiring guest speakers, and mentor fellow students as they explore their professional paths.
I’m passionate about creating an environment where students can grow their skills, expand their networks, and feel confident about their future careers.
One of the exciting opportunities we’ve had was touring the headquarters of Coca-Cola, where we got a behind-the-scenes look at how they operate and learned valuable insights into their business strategies. Every event is a chance to learn something new and connect with like-minded individuals!
